Art Lives Here:

Art Lives Here is a community of arts professionals and over 100 artists. Founded on the premise that artists thrive in a community. ALH promotes cultural equity by creating opportunities for under-recognized artists, which historically has meant Women, LGBTQIA+, AAPI, BIPOC Artists. Art Lives Here encourage inclusivity by integrating a diverse group of artists into the exhibitions that it organizes. Equity is also addressed by providing access to art, breaking down the psychological and perhaps real barriers of the art world by bringing meaningful public art installations, exhibitions, performances, and educational programming to people where they live, work, and gather with friends and family.

The Westbeth Gallery:

Originally built at the turn of the 20th century, the Westbeth complex is on the federal, state and city historical registries. Keith Haring had his first solo exhibition in Westbeth Gallery, and Westbeth has also been the home to Merce Cunningham and the Martha Graham Dance Companies. The Westbeth Gallery is a nonprofit fine arts gallery located within Westbeth Artist Housing in the West Village in Manhattan. The gallery has a unique role in the art community of New York City by showcasing the work of professional artists who live in Westbeth, as well as presenting the work of artists and curators from outside Westbeth, national and international, through an annual call for proposals. Cultural organizations also exhibit work here, such as the Whitney Museum Staff show, Parsons Fine Arts MFA exhibition, New York Foundation of the Arts Fellows, and many more.
