2023-09-26T07:55:18-04:00

Theaterlab Presents:

MINIFEST

October 8, 3pm & 5pm

This year I will be part of Theaterlab’s signature festival, MINIFEST, which celebrates the miniature in every form.
On October 8th, Theaterlab will curate a whimsical lineup of artists to explore magic, illusion, and moments of transformation. Featuring a marionette puppeteer, a opera singer-turned-magician, a poetic and visual generation machine, a transformative ghost lecture, a private mirror installation for one, digital / physical mapping performance, an interactive sculpture, and much more, all culminating in a audience participatory wish making ceremony, this festival will explore the magic of the unknown, the curious, and the remarkable.

Featuring Works By: Mafe Izaguirre, Emmanuel Elpenord, Michaela Lind, Drew Valins, Cinzia Meneghello, Molly Shayna Cohen, Lily Nguyen, Jolene Noelle, Joseph Medeiros, Ulises Palacio Diez, Mark Mitton, and Nicole Renaud.

Theaterlab is a women- and artist-led laboratory dedicated to researching the nature of live performance, including theater, music, and hybrid forms. Learn more about Theaterlab here

Location: Theaterlab, 357 W 36th St, 3rd floor, New York, NY

Uptown Magic Solo Exhibition at Dyckman Farmhouse Museum

Cinzia Meneghello: Uptown Magic

May 2nd – September 2nd, 2023

Dyckman Farmhouse Museum

Watercolor drawing of the Unicorn in the Cloisters.

Cinzia Meneghello: Uptown Magic transforms Inwood into a fairy tale. It depicts a luminous, fantasy realm full of whimsical creatures, enchanted forests, and symbolic thresholds. Many of the works in the exhibition were inspired by the natural and cultural richness of Northern Manhattan – from its majestic parks and beautiful wildlife to the Met Cloisters’ and Dyckman Farmhouse Museum’s unique collections. Viewers are invited to see themselves as heroines and magicians, fairies and angels, or simply as curious beings enthralled by the potential and magic within themselves, their community, and the places they inhabit.
