West Harlem: Where Art Lives

OPENING RECEPTION

Join me on September 20th at 5:30 pm for the official opening of the art exhibition presented by Art on the Ave and West Harlem Arts Alliance. The show is one of the many programs these two art organizations are creating in name of their mutual mission to elevate local artists and revitalize neighborhoods. This specific art show celebrates artists who are affiliated with West Harlem in some ways and whose works inherently reflect the area’s diversity, vibrancy, and creativity.

OPENING RECEPTION

September 20th, 5:30 pm

Montefiore Square (137th & Broadway, New York, NY)

PLEASE NOTE: this location is not a gallery. The exhibition is purposefully installed in empty storefronts located at the address provided to revitalize the neighborhood and activate the space with art and music. The artwork can only be seen from outdoors / behind the windows’ glass.

Can’t make it to the opening? Check it out on your own any time of the day, or visit Montefiore Square on Saturdays until the end of the month, 6-7:30 pm, for FREE Jazz sessions in the park! Bring your friends! Schedule of performances is available at whaanyc.org.

More information on the show and the other participating artists can be found here.
